The Assistant Teacher assists the Lead Teacher with creating an environment that supports children's natural desire to explore, experiment, and discover, helping them to achieve their optimal ability and ensuring a safe and healthful environment.
The Assistant assists with organizing the classroom to support program goals and contributes to the implementation of daily indoor and outdoor activities.
They develop trusting relationships with the children and the parent and interact with children in a nurturing way encouraging their participation in activities.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents Create activities that are fun and educational for the children Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child Deliver reports on potential concerns about students as to management as needed Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunch time and rest time for students Maintaining a clean and orderly classroom The Goddard School is more than a daycare, we are a leader in the industry of Early Childhood Education.
