This position encompasses the performance of evening/night shift testing in all areas of the laboratory including Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Transfusion Service and Phlebotomy. This testing is performed on patients of all age groups. Knowledge of an LIS system is helpful. Organization and prioritization of samples important in order to ensure rapid processing of specimens, and the highest quality of service available. Good decision making skills and the ability to perform duties under pressure are highly recommended. The ability to be able to initiate and take part in ongoing Quality Assurance projects is also important. Assists director in overseeing the entire operational and personnel issues related to laboratory services performed on the evening and night shifts. Assures quality testing while maintaining staff efficiencies and cost effectiveness. Provides assistance to the Administrative Director for scheduling, interviewing, assessing staff competency and performance and supervision. Strives to keep self and staff technically competent and current. Continually recommends enhancement to operational processes in order to provide the highest quality service available. Serves as the on-site laboratory management representative during the evening and night shifts. Acts as the liaison between physicians, other hospital personnel, customers and staff during these shifts.

BS degree, MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) with 2 years current generalist laboratory experience, or MLT(ASCP) or MT(HEW) with 5 years current generalist laboratory experience. Supervisory experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
