Applications/Revenue Cycle Specialist

The Applications/Revenue Cycle Specialist will directly provide support, formal and informal training and monitoring of HRPAS staff and providers on use of the EHR application and other office based software applications. The Specialist will also support and train office based/front office staff and CBO on all steps in the revenue cycle process to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims and posting of payments. Incumbent upon this role is the communication of best practices, standardization of processes and use of systems to ensure excellence in service and financial success. Monitoring, observing, auditing, and reporting to management are key aspects of the position as well as communicating and feedback for continuous improvement of performance.

High school education or equivalent. Prefer advance training, education or certification in information systems, healthcare, or revenue cycle/medical billing
Minimum of five years experience in health care setting using clinical software applications.
Demonstrated understanding of revenue cycle and medical billing
Experience teaching/training one on one and small group setting including development of standard education modules.
Experience working with cross-functional groups and teams
Effective time management, logical problem solving and attention to detail and accuracy Experience improving workflows and processes
Demonstrated ability to effectively share knowledge and best practices
Athenahealth application experience preferred
Positive and persuasive communication skills to motivate and encourage others Familiarity with medical terminology
HIPAA Compliant

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
